奥克兰南区华人协会2019年12月19日完成注册，2019年12月31日在ANZ银行完成开户，2020年1月22日在奥克兰南区Manurewa举行协会成立庆典宣告正式成立。这个协会的成立备受新西兰社会各界的广泛关注，一名前国会议员和四位奥克兰市议员及Manurewa Local board 参加了庆典活动。奥克兰南区华人协会致力于打造集太极拳、声乐演唱、民族舞蹈和其它健身娱乐活动于一体，为南区社区居民包括华人、毛利人、Kiwi和其他族群提供免费健身娱乐服务。现有协会会员70人。
Auckland Southern District Chinese Association completed registration on December 19, 2019, opened an account with ANZ Bank on December 31, 2019, and held an official establishment ceremony at Manurewa, Auckland Southern District on January 22, 2020. The establishment of this association has received widespread attention from all sectors of New Zealand society. A former member of Parliament, four Auckland city councilors, and Manurewa Local board participated in the celebration. The Auckland Southern District Chinese Association is committed to creating Tai Chi, vocal singing, folk dance, and other fitness and entertainment activities. It provides free fitness and entertainment services for residents in the Southern District, including Chinese, Maori, Kiwi, and other ethnic groups. There are 70 members of the existing association.

奥克兰南区华人协会今后将在“支持政府，服务华社，文化融合，健身娱乐”等方面做出积极贡献。成立庆典结束后举行了2020春节联欢会文艺演出。由著名的燕子老师担任节目主持人。
